Claire meets Great-Grandpa Burch

We had a nice visit from G-Grandpa Burch the other day. He stopped by to deliver some freshly butchered lamb--Adam was delighted! Claire was happy to see Grandpa up and about. He's doing well with his radiation treatments. Claire was especially interested in his rough work gloves. We are WAY into textures right now.

Lagoon

Claire and Sophie were really pumped to ride the kid coaster as their very first thing.
They had opposite reactions to it though! All day long, Sophie grimaced and cried on rides and Claire grinned and hooted. Sophie is tough as nails though and kept at it!

Fritzy rides in style in my new-to-me Maclaren twin stroller---I couldn't believe my good fortune in finding one so cheap! I've never ever had a stroller that I didn't have to bend down to push. Sooooo deluxe.
Grandma and I wait for everyone while they ride the train.
Uncle Chris takes Claire on the Scrambler (I talked Sophie out of trying this one).
Sophie helps Eloise. They were so happy to get a purple car they sang and danced all around it and another girl nearly jumped in before them!
Eloise has been having terrible behavior trouble, but days like this one help us all reset. When we rode the teacups, she told me "This is Glow-rious Mama!"

Happy First Birthday Fritzy!

Hooma was in the Fourth of July parade in Idaho Falls, where we live now while Daddy finishes his last year of medical school all over the country.
Papa rode on the Lutheran buggy in the parade.
We had a "traditional" Korean Dol party for Fritz. He is 34" tall, weighs 25lbs, can say "Mama", "Dad", "Oola" (Hooma), "Ball", "Yum yum" (meaning give me more), and "Ooooh!" (awesome, or please). He crawls very fast and likes to practice standing, but no dice walking yet.
He picked the ruler among the items displayed for him, meaning he'll maybe become an engineer or mathematician. Daddy participated all the way from New Mexico via Facetime on the iPad.
The elusive Papa was at the party!
We had a great spread. The macarons were an especial hit.

Last Hurrah for Oregon

Taking pictures for our friend's birthday because her mother had just had a baby.
 Sophie and her BFF Amalyn.

Eloise is a good friend too!
 Sneaky Daddy
Adam planned a surprise get away to Lincoln City for our ten year anniversary. Mom was in town to watch our other kids. We went to the Surftides resort and had a great time. Fritzy was pleasant company and the weather was amazing.

 We're still twitterpated.
It's like there's a monkey on my back...

Hiking as much as possible before moving away from Oregon, possibly for good.
Whoever finds the first mushroom on a hike gets brownie points in our family.

 Beautiful Oregon trillium.
 Silly guys
 Witches hair
Claire is a pretty, fun and smart girl.
Claire collects pinecones from different tree species.
 SLUG!!!
Fritzy and his favorite lady friend Alexa.

 Hiking at Munson Creek Falls.
Fritzy is in his favorite spot.
 Modern art or interpretive something...
Sophie likes to be fabulous at all times.

 We'll miss all the green!
Tallest falls on the Oregon coast.

We went to see the sea cave and largest sea star community on the coast.

Claire was not amused. It's inconvenient having zero body fat when the wind blows.
 I'll miss the ocean!
Picking up ice cream at Tillamook.
 Sophie loves all orange food.
