At Sean and Becca's Wedding

Hooma bought a nice red dress for me and cute dresses for all the girls to celebrate the wedding.
A black eye for the wedding.
Cutie Claire. She does her own hair now.

 My new camera.

 Wedding luncheon.

Chris brought Grandma Sue up from American Fork so she could be part of the wedding.

Sophie changes her mind and has a good time.

The best friends look for a spot to work on their pictures of unicorns with mustaches.

"Why aren't you holding me Mom?!"

 It rained a little.
Sophie threw another fit and parked RIGHT IN FRONT of the door they were to exit. She got squished by a temple patron and her shoe was torn off because he was hard of hearing and couldn't hear me saying, "Stop! Just a sec!"

Sean and Becca had a video game themed reception with in game music and a Master Sword in their cake!

Independence Day Wilderness Hike

During a brief respite from the heat wave, we ran out to the Bull of the Woods Wilderness in Marion County Oregon. The lakes were packed and the roads out to the Elk region (our original target) were full of shale shards. Out of deference to the Joe Don Baker (our beloved 4Runner) we chose to hike at a park called Niagra instead. It was totally deserted and the waterfalls were powerful and gorgeous! Just like these babies...
Eloise has a stomach bug and totally obliterated all the baby clothes I had by the time we were up in the mountains. Luckily it was still in the 70s.
Her sisters have taught her to blow raspberries. They ROFL every time she does it.
Adam says, "See? You can still do selfies with a hoity toity camera!"
 Snapping to get her attention.
She might have a real word. Eloise has been asking for a "Baff" usually near the bathtub, but also randomly during picnics so we're waiting to see what she means...

 The Thousand Watt.
A secondary waterfall. The low wall is supposed to keep people in the more safe area of this island in a raging waterfall outflow. Sophie took the opportunity while I was snapping this to disappear.
We found her--still inside the safety wall but hiding from us behind a crag. What. A. Turd. Why is my child with the dangerously fragile post-traumatic brain injury the crazy one?!

All she had to say for herself was, "Cheese Nips! Ah ha ha ha ha!"
Claire took the opportunity to point out that although, "Sophie is a pretty wicked guy, right? But see me? See me being such an ANGEL? Yeah, that's the sort of guy you want to buy candy for I think."

This is her Sponge Face--it's what she does when she is observing/learning something and turning it over in her mind.

Claire thought she found some catacombs! They were just arches under a bridge but still cool.
 "Where are those dead guys?"
A second rock island further down the waterfall outlay.
