Balance of Power

We've had lots of Sophie heavy posts so I thought a little Claire action was in order...
Yee-haw! Look at what Claire's got! She was helping Daddy make a fire for marshmallows.
Beautimous stick on earrings from Hannah. It's an ongoing battle to get Claire to peel off this beloved Elmo pj shirt. I usually have to just let her wear it under a sweater.

She does A LOT of grooving to this $2 Barbie piano. She's choreographed different dances for each of the recorded rhythms, but is unwilling to do them for a camera. I snuck this snippet. My favorite dance is a pop-n-lock routine she developed for "Latin Hip-hop 2."

Fairy for a Day (Okay, MOST Days)

Claire took this picture of one of her favorite toys, a painfully cute choking hazard bunny baby she named "Sophie."
This fairy suit was in the dress up box Hooma created for Claire. That makes it beautiful, magic and according to Claire, "Full of hugs."

Bouncing on cushions is something every responsible fairy takes care of each day.

Waiting for Hannah to Return

Claire dances in the hallway while waiting to talk to Hannah on the phone (she was in Nashville with Papa). I could have stitched these clips together but Blogger's video cache needed a kick anyway.

Claire reacts with abject horror to Santa, who is apparently something like five hundred times the size he appears on tv! The second clip is Claire's reaction to her windfall.

Sunday Girls

Sophie loves to test out anything she can get her hands on and barring that, the hands themselves!
Sharing a laugh. Claire has a repetoire of jokes that Sophie heartily obliges a chuckle to each time--even if she's already heard, "Hey Sophie! Did you see that weird bird in here?!" about fifty times already that day.

Claire doesn't have a cowlick per say, just Kewpie doll hair in combination with a general hatred for hair clips. The curls bounce on top of her head when she runs around. This makes her look a bit like a manic bunny!
Sophie's "surprise" face seems to be all-purpose--it is a pretty big world after all...

Later that day, Sophie was doing her opera singing and of course stopped when I turned the camera on, but this is at least a good idea of how interactive she is now. It's her four month birthday on Thursday!

Christmas and Sophie's Blessing
